Cooper Optometry

After 32 years of superior eye care services, the founding doctors of this optometry practice were looking towards retirement and a transfer of ownership. Now known as Cooper Optometry, Dr. Cooper reached out to Via Laulima for spatial branding and logo design services.

The main criteria was to achieve a space reflective of its proximity to the Santa Monica Beach, which was only minutes away from the office. We were challenged with finding ways to provide a custom look without exceeding the budget and arrived at using readily available building materials and cabinet systems. The result was a 'California Cool' vibe mixed with natural textures and pops of color to brighten the overall feel. Patients are now greeted with a more welcoming reception and waiting area, and the new eyeglass displays are able to showcase frames in multiple views while allowing flexibility in organization. The two exam rooms also received a complete refresh with more efficient storage to open up floor space for additional medical equipment. The overall transformation has allowed Dr. Cooper and her staff to continue their high-quality care in a modernized and serene environment that even the original owners were delighted to see.
